Subutay – The Protector of Children
Character & Cinematic Scene Development
This project is part of a personal universe I’m developing. The goal was to create a narrative-driven cinematic character with a strong emotional and mythological background.
Pipeline & Workflow:
– High-poly sculpting in ZBrush
– Retopology and base adjustments in Maya
– Texturing and material definition in Substance Painter
– Lighting, atmosphere and final presentation rendered in Marmoset Toolbag
In this scene, I focused on:
• building a dramatic emotional tone
• combining character storytelling with environment mood
• creating readable lighting while preserving a dark cinematic feeling
• conveying Subutay’s burden and spiritual connection to the Umay Ana statue
The project is still in progress, and I will continue refining the visual storytelling, lighting, and environment details.
